Shalom World Canada is the Canadian broadcast of Shalom World, a Catholic media ministry offering free, faith-filled television, live prayer, family programming, documentaries, music and inspiring stories to viewers across the country. Since 2013, Shalom Media Canada has supported Catholic families through media, prayer support, community events and local outreach — bringing the sacraments, the saints and the good news of the Gospel into daily life, one household at a time.
We believe television can be a quiet form of evangelization — a way to bring the Mass to the homebound, catechesis to busy parents, and hope to anyone searching for God. That's why every program on Shalom World Canada stays completely free to watch, on any device, at any hour.
From One Studio to a Global Family of Faith
Shalom World traces its roots to a small Catholic media effort founded in Kerala, India, in the early 1990s. Over the following two decades that work grew from local broadcasts into a full television ministry, eventually launching as Shalom World on Divine Mercy Sunday in 2014 — a network now watched by Catholic families across dozens of countries.
Shalom Media Canada joined that story in 2013, bringing the same free programming to Canadian households from coast to coast. What began with a handful of shows has grown into a full library covering Scripture, worship, family life and the real stories of Canadian Catholics — reaching an estimated one million viewers nationwide today.
